Mood Boost Resistance Band Workout

A-List celebrity Trainer Foued Douma has trained some of Hollywood’s biggest stars - from musicians to actors to business moguls, and everything in between. A transplant from Nice, France, Foued shows us some of his favorite exercises using the resistance bands from BroglieBox!

TARGET: Quads and Glutes 3 rounds of 15 reps

SET UP:

Place the band around both legs, right above the knee.
Stand up straight with feet shoulder-width apart and toes slightly out. Keep your chest up, back straight and head straight.

MOVEMENT:
Stick out your butt and squat down until your body naturally stops (1A). Slowly raise your body to the starting position. Repeat.
Keep your chest up throughout the movement.
Keep most of the weight in your heel. (1B)
Squeeze your butt on your way up.
Do not let your knees push past your toes as you lower into your squat. 
   

TARGET: Glutes & Core

3 rounds of 20 reps each leg

SET UP:

Place a mini-band just above your knees (2A), and stand with your feet shoul- der-width apart, knees out. Place your hands under your shoulders and hold them in front of you.

MOVEMENT:

Start by half squat position where your knees are bent and your hips are slightly pushed back. Look straight ahead, and keep your torso as upright as possible for the entire exercise with your lower back slightly arched.
Step out with one leg (2B) while the other leg stays static and then come back to the starting position. Step back at a 45 degrees angle (2C) and come back to the starting position(2D). Repeat.

   

TARGET: Core, Glutes 3 rounds of 12 reps

SET UP:

Put a mini band between your ankles and place yourself in a plank position with your wrists under your shoulders and your feet hips width apart. (3A) Brace your core and hold a neutral spine during all the movement.

MOVEMENT:

  

Hold the plank and lift one leg up in line with your torso. (3B) Then bring your leg down without touching the floor. (3C) Repeat. (3D)
